Born on December 29, 1995, he is a person of many talents, specializing in acting, singing, and dancing. He is best known as Austin Moon on the Disney Channel original series Austin & Ally.
He is also in a band with his three siblings and their best friend. The pop-rock band R5 couldn’t be happier than to have Lynch as its lead vocalist.
Furthermore, He is loved for his famous role of ‘Brady’ in ‘Teen Beach Movie,’ it is a Disney original movie that premiered in 2013. He also is good at playing the guitar and the piano.
Childhood & Early Life
Ross was born in Littleton, Colorado. He was the 4th out of five offspring to Mark and Stormie Lynch. His siblings are Rocky, Ryland, Riker, and Rydel. He was home-schooled from 4th grade.
In the same year, he learned to sing and set the strings on magic on his guitar. He was also tutored to play the drums and piano. When Lynch was twelve, his family moved to Los Angeles as his elder brother gained fame in the entertainment industry.
He is also the cousin of professional dancers, singers, and actors Derek Hough and Julianne Hough.
Acting Career
Lynch was called up in 2011 to play a lead role in Austin & Ally. As Austin Moon, a teenage singer who becomes a dazzling star after a music video featuring a fantastic performance by him is uploaded on the internet by one of his friends Dez, played by Calum Worthy.
Along with being the lead actor, he also sang many songs for the show as a singer.
The ‘Austin & Ally’ soundtrack album went on to become one of Billboard’s Top Soundtracks.
He also played a cameo role in the 2014 American comedy film ‘Muppets Most Wanted.’
In early 2012, Lynch was cast in Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie, playing the male lead role, Brady, which had a staggering 8.4 million viewers. It also had a sequel that premiered on the Disney Channel on June 26, 2015, earning 7.5 million viewers.
Music Career
Ross Lynch, with his band, released his first extended play in 2010, which was named ‘Ready Set Rock.’ After its release, he made a deal with Hollywood Records in April 2012.
The band’s second extended play ‘Loud’ was released on February 19, 2013. The band also released their first album titled ‘Louder.’ It turned out to be a huge success, debuting at #24 on the ‘Billboard 200’ and selling 15 thousand copies in the first week itself. It consisted of singles named ‘Loud,’ ‘Pass Me By,’ and ‘One Last Dance.’
The band launched their second full-length album on July 10, 2015, titled Sometime Last Night, and it ranked number 6 on the Billboard 200, #1 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums, #3 on the Billboard Top Digital Albums.
