Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff makes up the hip hop trio Migos, founded in 2008 by three rappers in Lawrenceville, Georgia. In addition to Coach K managing the group, DJ Durel, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, and Buddah Bless are among their frequent collaborators.
The super-talented group has released four studio albums, one extended play (EP), twelve mixtapes, and 47 singles (including twenty-four as a featured artist).
Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset created Migos in 2008. They were initially known as the Polo Club. Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle, while Offset is Quavo’s cousin.
Quavo- Quavious Keyate Marshall, a rapper, singer, and record producer from the United States, was born on April 2, 1991. He is mainly known for co-founding and leading the hip-hop group Migos.
As well to his work with Migos, Quavo has had four singles chart within the top 10 hits of the Billboard Hot 100, including DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” and Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” which ranked at number 8 on the Hot 100 and subsequently was certified Diamond by the RIAA.
Quavo’s career includes one studio album, a collaborative album, twenty-nine singles, and thirty-three other tracks, including charted singles and guest appearances.
Offset- Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus) is an American rapper born on December 14, 1991. Along with Quavo and Takeoff, he is a member of the hip-hop group Migos. He is also a shareholder in the esports team FaZe Clan.
Offset has released one studio album, one collaborative album, and twenty-four singles (including twenty-three as a featured artist).
Offset has also put out solo music and collaborated with various artists in addition to his work with Migos.
Takeoff- Kirkshnik Khari Ball, better known by his stage name Takeoff, was born June 18, 1994, in North Carolina.
Takeoff has one studio album, one planned collaborative mixtape, four singles, and two other charting songs in his discography.
The Onset Of The Musical Career
Quavo’s mother reared the three of them together in the Atlanta suburbs. Outkast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, and Master P were among the artists they listened to as children.
On August 25, 2011, the group released Juug Season, their first full-length project.
On June 1, 2012, they released their mixtape No Label. Mitchell Thomas and Tucker Toenjes assisted.
Migos’ first studio album, Yung Rich Nation, was released on July 31, 2015. Culture, Migos’ second studio album, was released on January 27, 2017.
Culture II, Migos’ third studio album, was released on January 26, 2018. Migos’ fourth album, Culture III, was released on June 11, 2021.
Migos’ breakout single “Versace” was released in 2013. Zaytoven produced the song, which reached number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.
Later that year, Canadian rapper Drake remixed the song and added a verse, which he later performed at the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Migos initially rose to fame after the release of their single “Versace” in 2013.
Migos’ mixtape Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas), which includes the lead track “Versace,” was released to critical acclaim on June 13. It received an 8 out of 10 rating from Spin, who described it as “a super-cut of Dirty South vibes” and compared the three members to Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, and Future.
The Band performed at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash on June 15, 2013. XXL’s “Show & Prove” section profiled the trio in October 2013. “Versace” was ranked third on XXL’s “The 25 Best Songs of 2013,” number four on Complex’s “The 50 Best Songs of 2013,” number five on SPIN’s “50 Best Songs of 2013,” number 38 on Pitchfork’s “The Top 100 Tracks of 2013,” and number 69 on Rolling Stone’s “The 100 Best Songs of 2013.”
SPIN ranked Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas) the 27th best album of 2013 and the sixth-best hip-hop album.
The Band has received multiple nominations and awards. From a total of 24 nominations, Migos has received three awards. They got nominated for 3 BET Hip Hop Awards, 2 Billboard Awards, three iHeartRadio Music Awards, and 9 BET Awards.
Migos was also nominated thrice in MTV Europe Music Awards for best video in 2017 and best group and hip-hop in 2018.
The Band was honored with 3 BET Awards for Best group and collaboration.
The Band was also nominated for Grammy awards in 2018 for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance.
