Who are Seventeen?

Seventeen is a South Korean K-pop boy group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2015. Although the group name is seventeen, it consists of only thirteen members.

The group members include Jeonghan, S. Coups, Jun, Hoshi, Joshua, Woozi, Wonwoo, DK, The8, Dino, Vernon, Seunhkwan, and Mingyu.

Seventeen appeared with their debut on May 26, 2015, with the album 17 Carat. It became the longest-charting K-pop album of the year in the U.S. It was also the only rookie album to rank in the list of Billboard’s “10 Best K-Pop Albums of 2015.”

As of now, the group has released twelve E.P.s, four studio albums, and three reissues. Unlike many other K-pop groups, Seventeen members know all choreographing, songwriting, and other aspects of their musical works. They consider themselves a “self-producing” group.

The Hip-Hop unit consists of the following:

• S. Coups: He is the leader of the group and hip-hop unit. He is a rapper.
• The other three group members, Mingyu, Wonwoo, and Vernon, are rappers.

• Other members include Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan. They are also vocalists.

The Performance unit consists of the following:

• Hoshi: He is the leader of this unit. He is a dancer, rapper, and vocalist.
