Premise
The series revolves around the Belcher family- dad Bob, mom Linda, and their three children, Tina, Gene, and Louise.
In an unnamed seaside town, the family owns a burger restaurant named ‘Bob’s Burgers.’ The restaurant is a green two-storied building with the restaurant on the ground floor and the Belcher family residence on the level above. Two commercial buildings flank the restaurant building on either side.
The restaurant faces stiff competition from other eateries, mainly from ‘Jimmy Pesto’s Pizzeria’ owned by Bob’s rival Jimmy Pesto. The pizzeria is located right across the street and is more successful than Bob’s burger restaurant, which often causes friction between the two.
Although not as popular as Jimmy’s Pizzeria, Bob’s Burgers has regular customers in Mort and Teddy.
The Belcher children attend Wagstaff School and also assist at the restaurant. Like every teenage girl, Tina is attracted to boys, especially Pesto’s son, Jimmy Junior. Gene aspires to be a successful musician and often carries his keyboard around. The youngest sibling, Louise, is the troublemaker of the three- she is either taking revenge or seeking adventure.
Apart from the main characters, the Belcher family interacts with other town residents.

The reviews for season one were mainly mixed; however, the reviews improved with every passing season.
The series premiere titled ‘Human Flesh’ fetched the Fox network a viewership of 9.39 million. The episode was the highest-rated series premiere and was ranked number nine in terms of ranking.
