The famous series is created by Eric Kripke, Supernatural is an American TV series broadcasted first on the WB Television Network on September 13, 2005, and subsequently on the CW Television Network lineup. It starred two brothers, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, acting as Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester, respectively, as they hunt monsters, demons, ghosts, and other supernatural beings. After their mother's suspicious death in a fire that burnt their house 22 years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester's father also goes missing while on a "hunting trip". Thus, Dean got Sam at Stanford University, and they live on the road, in Dean's black Chevrolet Impala of 1967 with Kansas license plates. They came across another man, Max Miller, with akin abilities to Sam's, whose mother also died the same way as Sam's mother. They worked together for a while, but because of Max's physical abuse and neglect experiences, his life ended in a murder-suicide that Dean and Sam could not stop.
They finally found and reunited with their father, who told them about the demon Azazel (aka Yellow Eyes) that killed their mother. Also, he said to them that the only thing that can kill Azazel is a legendary gun made by Samuel Colt. The brothers and their father had a car crash with a truck and were unconscious, covered in blood.
The father traded his life for Azazel's after the car crash. As Dean and Sam continued their hunt for Azazel, they were helped by new allies; Bobby, Ellen, Jo, and Ash. The master plan of Azazel was later revealed, gathering Sam and others with related psychic abilities to fight each other, causing Sam's death. Dean and a crossroads demon made a deal to resurrect Sam in exchange for his soul, which will be taken to Hell in a year.
Hundreds of demons and souls escape Hell via the portal opened by Azazel and confronted the Winchesters. Dean finally killed Azazel, and the portal closed with John Winchester's spirit's assistance, who escaped Hell as other souls. The Winchester brothers and their allies eventually had two issues to deal with; the demon army unleashed and the one-year contract Dean has before he goes to Hell. The series continued to fifteen (15) seasons, with each season having multiple episodes.
